Hi

i am looking for a good deal for P900 on orange.

my current contract has just expired, so i am looking to upgrade. but cos i am on a lower tariff, i dont wanna pay loads for it.

where is the best place to look? and any current owners where did you get yours from?

might wait closer to xmas or after if price comes down, which hopefully it will.

also people who own one already, plz post your comments/reviews or links to good reviews. just wanna find out how good it is before i go out and buy one.

many thanks

it's cheaper to get a new contract on orange ont he most expensive tariffs to get the handset for free then move down tariffs after a month

Yeah i've done same thing. Got it free on 95 quid a month tarrif from CPW then change it next day to 30 quid amonth😃

Surley you need to wait three months before you can change your orange tarrif on a new phone, or is there a way to get around this?

thanks guys

i have thought of getting new contarct, but i need to keep my existing number for my business.

i was told in a shop that if i upgrade my plan at time of upgrade, i can get p900 cheaper, then i could change it next day. however another place told me that if i change my plan you need to stay on it for more than one month. i thought on orange you could change once every month, cos i did this last year when i upgraded to my current phone.

anyone know if this true, or i can change it next day?

thanks

no, straight forward, you can move tariffs on orange after one month, i am not sure how onestopphoneshop have managed to get orange to make the customer stay on the tariff for a minimum of 4 months, the shop is the phone dealer, the network is the service provider and changing tariffs is a network thing, when people buy a phone from a phone shop, then move tariff, there is no way of the shop knowing, so i'm not sure how onestopphoneshop do it, but for carphonewarehouse, you certainly can move down tariffs after one month

hi

i am very interested in buying p900 on orange.

as im already on orange, it will be expensive to upgrade. how can i get round this. should i bump up my tariff and go to CPW, or go to CPW and bump up tariff at time of upgrade, will that get me phone cheaper.

was considering going to orange pay as you go, then upgrading back to pay monthly on high tariff to get phone cheap. but dont know if this will work.

plz advise

many thanks,

I have had a look on the onestopphoneshop terms and conditions that you sign and it seems if you change the tariff within 4 months they will charge you so they can cover the cheap price of the phone.

From the website

"With many of our offers the price/package that a phone is offered with is dependent on a specific tariff being selected. If the customer subsequently changes this tariff option within the periods detailed below, the purchase price variance for that phone based on the tariff the customer is actually on will be charged to the customer by onestopphoneshop.

3 4 months
Orange 4 months
O2 4 months
Vodafone 6 months
T-Mobile 6 months

Please note that should you change your tariff within these periods, either up or down, the "first period" starts again. We strongly recommend that you do not change your tariff within these periods."

Hope this helps

thanks pk501

i called onestopphoneshop, they told me the same thing.

looks like i may leave the p900 now. quite interested in SE Z600 now, might get that on Vodafone/T-Mobile after xmas.

what do people think of UK networks? in ur opinion, who do u think is best in terms of value/tariffs/customer service.

would be interested in ur comments

thanks again
