I'm having trouble with my n-gage. I'm registered with orange, I went in the security settings and put a pin number in, then, when i turned it back on again it said enter your pin number so i did and it did'nt work. I read my instruction booklet and it said after 10 guesses the simcard does'nt work(rejected). So everytime I turn My n-gage on it says simcard rejected. I've just ordered a new simcard from a different network(virgin), will it work when I put my new simcard in????

Did it not ask for a PUK no.? it shud usually. All you have to do is fone ur network provider (orange) request ur PUK, enter it, and voila.

Or have you not yet registered your new card yet? you have to register orange PAYG sims before you can use them. fone 150 (or 450, cant remember) from the handset and register it.

Right, when I first got it it was already registed to the orange network and was working fine. Yes it did ask for a PUK number but in the manual it says if you try to guess the number more then 10times the simcard blocks(rejected). I've tried to put my mums simcard(vodafone) in the n-gage, and that didn't work. So I just hope the virgin simcard I've just ordered works. DO YOU THINK IT WILL????????????

Did you buy the ngage on orange? if so then ur f**ked! cus orange lock there fones to there own network. You can obviously have your fone unlocked. Most illegitament phone shops provide this service 😃

Do you think they have to un do the n-gage and flick some switch in it or will they need to contact orange and unblock it somehow.
Also, after they have unblocked it, will I beable to use my virgin simcard on it, or will it only work with orange simcards.

your phone is locked by a number code, it is unlocked by obtaining that code. there are many ways of getting that number, and as sabz said, most ilegitament shops can do it for you. as soon as your phone is unlocked any sim card will work on your phone.

be aware if the wrong code is entered to many times (i think 3) you phone is forever locked! so be careful.

Yes, thats the problem,I guessed the codes loads of times(more then 10) and its now locked, so I just hope they can fix that.

Give me your IME number, and I'll send you an unlock code.

And if you do give me the number there's no where to type it in cos once you've tried to guess the code 10times(which I've done) all it says is simcard rejected.

just take your phone in to a shop that does phone unlocking, i do not think you locked your phone up, just your sim card. it will make it easier for you.
