I got a N-Gage last night and am thrilled with the phone... Just one question though...How do I lock the keypad?
I'd look in the manual if I had it with me, but I don't and can't.
Thanks a bunch

Hmm, seems either you can't lock the keypad (which is a real pity) or no-one knows how😞
1) In idle state: Press Left softkey (next to "c" key) + asterisk (*).
2) Press power key _shortly_ and choose "lock keys" (not "lock device"😉
it`s a big challange to find it for every new user i think 😃
Hasn't this LEFT SOFTKEY + * been a standard for long time in Nokia phones.
I like it when they keep the good old things in the new phones also.
And if you want a timed keylock, then JJLKeyLock fits the bill:

Yes,its a Nokia standard.
I like it too 😊
its on the off button menu as well just press once and scroll down
i thought the nokia standard was the menu key + was the standard, not the contacts key
Its not a contacs key,its a softkey,by default it is maped to the contacs application but you can map it to almost anything except third party.
people think that the key as the menu key, not as the left softkey. i know from many of my n-gaged friends, they first tried the ngage`s menu key + * key... and if it doesn`t lock, they tried and tried it again. and left softkey word means nothing to many people 😊
hey... locking the keyboard is the easiest thing to find out.... are you crazy? when i turned on my n-gage for the first time I locked it..... it;s so easy... 😃
I must admit that being an old time Nokia User I was too miffed into thinking that I should press the menu key and not the left soft key. and after having used a 7650 for so long was not used to having to find another way of locking the phone...
