Splitting and merging files on nokia

You can use file compressing utilities like WinZip, WinRAR, pkzip, arj etc. to split the large files into smaller parts with a specifically set file size.

Thanks semaphor for posting a reply. But what I was really looking for was a tool that will work on my nokia n-gage so as to allow me to split up a 6mb file into 1 mb parts and send each part in turn to the destination device and once all the parts have been dent to merge them back together again. Or am I being completely stupid???

Well then, thanks to all for your help on this matter, but I had sorta realised (after hours of endless searching) that there isn't any software like this so ..... I'm gonna write my own program with the SDK that is available. Anyone got any pointers where I can example source code for the n-gage.
