Is there a way I could play mpg or mpeg or even mp3's without converting them?

You can't play mpeg files without converting.You can play mp3's with a third party mp3 player.Search for Mp3GO or MP3player.The sound will be only mono,which IMO is not an enjoyable music listening expirience.
