Unable to uninstall IM+

I installed a free trial of IM+ about 3 days ago, the triall ran out and i wanted to delete the program from my phone, i also wanted to see if i could install it again for another trial...but when i try to delete it it says access denied, and that an error has occurred.

Now the icon has dissapeared off the menu screen but the program is still on the phone, ive tried to replacing the copy with another copy, but that wont work either.

So even if i wanted to buy and register a copy i cant use the damn thing cos there aint an icon to click to get into IM+ on the phone now.

anyone with any ideas.....i can see a format disk would wipe everything and i could start from scratch, but im not willng to loose all my txts etc.....

Have you tryed removing the files associated with the program using a file manager? Also, use a file manager to check the file attributes - that they aren't set to "Read-Only".

I have run into that trouble before even with registered copies.. I had a registered copy that I recently wanted to delete after I received an update from the company.. My work-around the problem was to simply choose "skip" when it notified me that it couldn't delete the older software... Once it did that it simply installed the new one and overidded whatever was left of the older software.. Now the older version is no where on the ROM drive of the phone so I'm assuming it took care of it.

I had the same problem and used a file manager to delete the files as Raven suggested...it worked fine...

thanks, i looked on the file manager on the p900 - and that didnt work, so should i download another?

I think you need to change the default settings to show system files...

If not, I used fileman from handango...
