Help!!!!!!!! Can Anyone Use Wap On 6600 In India????????????

IVE HAD THE 6600 FOR OVER A MONTH N I STILL HAVENT FIGURED OUT HOW TO USE WAP IN INDIA !!!!!! IF ANYONE IS ABLE TO USE PLZZZZZZZZ TELL WHAT SETTINGS U USED???????? 😕

yes i am able to use.
i am from bangalore.. even i faced this problem before cos in 6600 u need two more seetings apart from the normal ones..... and those are the proxy address and port number. u find these settings in advance setting of the access points.
i am using hutch here and the proxy addrr for me is 10.10.1.100 and proxy port is 9401.

i got these from my hutch operator... visit ur operator's office they will b able to help u out.

well after u recieve the settings from hutch u have to go to advanced settings and put the proxy server address as
10.10.1.100 and port number as 9401

and than try again and it will work..!!

hey!! help. doesnt any one having airtel gprs have problems downloading stufs onto 6600? it comes operation cancelled.

well i have heard that airtel's gprs is really bad.. and me too facing similar problem... was using gprs with 7650 but that was working fine... but i think there is some file size limitation which makes operation cancelled in case of bigger files...

can anyone clear this out ... i mean is it just a problem with indian operators or same case with other country users.

no way! airtel gprs is much faster than hutch gprs cos hutch servers are easily getting congested.. a friend told that changing the ip address from 202.56.231.21 to 193.95.167.178 works. it really worked for a period of time. i had almost infinte fun.. but then it stopped working.. this 193.95.167.178 works in doris/opera/html browser, but not the phone's default browser. so am really keen to know how to get my fun back.. hehe!😃

my friend was using airtel gprs and he had to finally switch to hutch coz it gave him lots of trouble....well anyways hutch gprs too work on opera ( coz thatz what i have tried ) and no changes need to be made while using built in browser or opera...

P.S. :- why dont u try changing to ur original ip again.

iam using that already but it's not giving me all that fun 😞 like i had with d extra 1.
and also in opera i cant find out where the pics go after i save them. i've searched in c:/ & e:/ drive but it seems to have vanished...

hi can anyone help me with the detailed settings on my nokia 6600 as there are some doubts is the phone ip address supposed to be automatic and what is the primary and secondary name server ... as inspite of enetering the nos of proxy server and port i am able to connect but the homepage or anyother page for that matter does not load gprs connects and i can send mms but wap pages do not load and after sometime the cell says connection timed out ...please help...

Bsnl provides GPRS now and u have to apply at ur local axchange for the GPRS activation co'z then u have to pay a particular amount every month. for more detail call Bsnl Customer Care.
