6600 recall (apparently)

I was with my friend yesterday who was admiring my 6600. He phoned "Vodaphone connect" whilst I was with him to ask about getting a 6600 and they told him that all 6600 had been recalled by nokia due to a software fault. (i heard the conversation on loud speaker on his phone).

I wondered if anyone knew if this was true? Or is it a stall by vodaphone on release dates?

Possible firmware upgrade imminent???

U know what bug they were talking about?
Or why they want to recall 6600?
Hope it's a joke cause i already changed mine 1 time because of some display flickering.
Bye

Vodafone happily provided me with a 6600 and I have yet to discover any 'software bugs' that would warrenty a recall.

Firmware will be updated, that much is inevitable, however would someone as big as Nokia (or Voda) manage to screw up the initial release so much they had to recall the devices?? I doubt it.

All is well! goto any phones 4 U in the UK and U can buy a 6600 on a Vodafone contract.

Well T-Mobile & 02 recalled the 7210 just after release because of software bugs, so yes it is possible

sadly the guys @ phones 4 U will sell u anything and don't have a clue

there answer would probably be " Recall the 6600 ?, Software Bugs ?, does the 6600 even have software ?
