P900 sync problems (Office 2000 Sp3)

I am having problems getting my P900 to sync with Office 2000.

I have just updated office to the latest verison and have downloaded the latest P900 software.

The phone connects to the PC with no problems and tries to sync.

The sync dialog box comes up and then pauses for a while. All of the sync bars move to completed instantly and the process appears to finish.

Nothing is being synchronised though - I had thought it was the default version of office causing the problem but the update hasn't fixed it.

Has anybody had similar problems/do you have any ideas on how to fix it?

I run Windows XP but this was upgraded from Win 98.

Do you think this could contribute to the problems?

I was planning to rebuild my machine with a clean install anyway but I need to find all of the software I've got loaded at the mo - a bit of a pain in the ass after you've just moved house!!!

When you say Offie 200 I assume you mean Outlook 200. It sounds to me like you're synching with a completely empty Outlook profile. Check your synch settings to see which Outlook files it is synching with and make sure these are the ones you are using in Outlook.
