Siemens SX1 dumped?

From a very reputable source in my country(Im not allowed to mention his name or position in the Siemens organization) I learned that the long awaited Symbian device from Siemens, the SX1 doesnt have a bright future.

The device is going the be released in the stores very soon The protos of the SX1 were sent for re-flashing in the Siemens head office in Germany, hopefully to return with a final version of the firmware. The doesnt have a bight future part is that Siemens will no longer focus on the SX1 or Symbian in the future and that probably the SX1 will be produced in relatively small quantities. My source stated that Siemens received a better offer from Microsoft. When I asked what was better in Microsofts offer to my surprise he replied that the Symbian OS and Series 60 UI were too closed for their taste and that Microsoft gave them a more open OS.One good news for future SX1 owners is that they will be able to updates SX1s firmware from home and that it will receive on par support with other Siemens handsets.

BTW:Can something be done to control warez exchange via the PM system? It really geting out of control.

wow....MS is a more open OS?

I'd say if you think it warrants it, post it.

As for warez via PM, the people who designed vBulletin belive that Private messages should remain private (According to their website anyway), So Admin don't have access to the PM's...I'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong but they can still be seen in the MySQL database though.

How do you know people are trading via the PM system anyway?😕

Even though you have much confidence in your source, GhostDog, I don't think you should be posting rumours in the news section. I think the waffle or the miscellaneous section would be a better place.

Just my opinion. 😊

Ok,i will probably post it (Probably not in the news section)after i check it for grammar and spelling errors.

As for how do i know if people are exchanging warez via PM:

Memeber A asks: Where can i find dopewars.

Member B replies with a warez website.

The warez website is deleted.

Member B is banned.

Member C replies: Member A: Check your PM

LOL....well it's something that needs to be delt with...but for now, if you let me know the person(s) involved I will disable their PM account.
