Nokia Wireless Headset HDW-2 :
The sound is cutting and the quality not so good.

SE HBH-30 :
I had a message "BlueTooth profile is not supported By Headset"
and the headset disconnects.

SE HBH-65 :
Excellent (so far)

Using JABRA BT200
Works great, supports voice commands on the phone, sound is perfect as long as you are in "visible range" of the phone.
Used it while driving a Van (diesel, noisy) very clear sound and good background noise supression.
I never tried other headsets but I would recommend this one!😉

Just got my HBH-65, works great! My brother uses Nokia HDW-2, he's happy, but the ear piece broke the first day, the back up earpiece broke as well. But, he is still using it, and he's happy. He gets disconnection often though.

I'm using the Nokia HDW-2 too, and I have to say it's terrible. I'm desperate for the new Jabra FreeSpeak 250 to come out so I can upgrade to that - I don't see the point in upgrading to the 200 seeing as the 250 is just around the corner...

Wirelessly posted (Nokia6600/1.0 (3.42.1) SymbianOS/7.0s Series60/2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.0)

I've been using the jabra bt200 which has lived thru my sonyericsson t68i then my t610 and now my 6600.Am very happy with it.Sound is very good.Unless my handset is in the car side pocket. Its fine in the cradle though.Cheaper than the nokia official ones.Just wish it had a car charger.

I am using the Jabra 250, and it works very well.

Very good audio in both directions even at 90mph in my car. 😃

Background noise is suppressed to allow clearer speech quality in any environment. 😃

I got my Jabra 200 today😊 Works perfectly, now I can convert my DVD's to rm or 3gp files and use my 6600 as a portable DVD player without having to play it out loud. It seems to have a really good range too.

I've just finished setting up the headset with my PC too. Probably fairly useless really, but at least I can now listen to mp3's while I'm sitting on the toilet😃

Can someone please answer my question?

Does the headset only connect when a call is made or recieved?

I mean is the BT always connected and the headset icon is displayed all the time or just when your in a call?

Thanks in advance!

The Headset only connects during calls.

On the sony Ericsson t610 you can set it to only activate when recieving calls or both recieving and making calls. not sure on the 6600. Don't think its available on it. Guess its either on for all calls or off for all calls in or out.

Using the Jabra BT200 the phone only displays a device is connected/connecting to the phone. The headset profile is not displayed because its a bluetooth device, not a headset connected physically to the phone. This is only when in use. When not in use the phone only displays that dot indicating that the bluetooth is active.

The Jabra 200 connects whether you are on a call or not. See my posts above. If it didn't connect when it wasn't during a call then I wouldn't be able to listen to video and audio clips with it!!! Once you have paired it with the 6600 all you need to do is activate bluetooth on the phone. As soon as you switch the headset on all audio (in-call or otherwise) is automatically diverted through the headset. Good quality sound too.

ok, sorry as this isn't strictly related to nokia 6600.please don't ban me. Does anyone who has a jabra bt200 bluetooth headset have the original access code you use to pair it with your phone. I've not got my manual with me and i've managed to un-pair it from my phone. Many Thanks..well i am trying to pair it to a nokia 6600

Hi
I have tested this headset and it DOES NOT work with ther 6600. Although it pairs OK you cannot answer or end calls and the voice commands don't work either.
I have rung the kondor helpline and they said although it should work they have done little testing so could not confirm but they had received other reports of problems when using the 6600.

I done a bit of research before I bought my J200 and made sure that I bought the version with the blue sticker on the box (updated compatibility with the 6600, 3650, etc.) Based on this, I would imagine that there are quite a few headsets out there that don't work too well with these phones. My advice to anyone wanting to buy a headset would be to check thoroughly before buying and don't take it for granted that they will all work. Although Bluetooth has been around a while now it is only just taking off properly in the UK and should still be considered as a technology in its infancy. As with all new technologies, it takes a fair while before they get it right for everyone (just look at the difference between Windows 3.1 and XP, and it's still not perfect - crap example I know, but the first thing to spring to mind.)
Anyway, I am interested the the J250 can be charged with the Nokia charger. I haven't looked closely at the plugs yet but does anyone know if this can be done with the J200 too?

Hi
As I checked with the seller first, who said it would work, I am OK for a refund under the Distance Selling regs and the Sale of Goods act.
I have also checked with another supplier and just about to get one of the South Wing Neovoice headsets - this time the manufacturer says it should be OK and at 40 its 60 cheaper then Expansys and supposed to be one of the best on the market.
I shall report back soon.

I have a Tekram Tm-312 Bluetooth headset with a Sony T610 cell phone. The headset works great. People I call can hear me clearly and have no problem talking in noisy environments. Battery life is expeptional. it usually last about 6days until I have to recharge it, and thats with normal talk usage.
I paid alot less than other headsets with the same features and sound quality, so I gave it a try and I have been very satisfied.

My phone pops up a bluetooth logo when I activate the bluetooth feature. When ever i recieve or make a call, the logo switches to a headset icon. Once I finish with the call it switches back to the bluetooth logo. I found out that this is normal power saving usage. If you see the headset icon stay on even after you end the call, then this means you are in advance mode which keeps the bluetooth is in constant communication and uses more battery life. However, I don't know if it is the same with other phones.

here is the website to my headset (TM-312) : www.Tekram.com

I bought a headset "Bluemate 616" but it doesn't work. It is paired with the phone but then it disconnects itself. When I try to connect again the phone says that the BT device does not support headset... :frown:
Any idea?

Hi!

need Help!
Lost the key for my bluemate 616 Headset and need to pair it again...

Anyone got an idea?

Thx, aNarKin!

Hi , i have had the sony ericsson hbh-35 bluetooth headset for a few months now, it works perfect with my t610, and it also works with the 6600. The only thing is that every time you want to activate the headset on the 6600 you have to go to the bluetooth menu, then go to paired devices and click connect. Where as on the t610 you just click bluetooth on and the headset automatically pairs. Im picking up a hbh -65 headset today, because the 35 is falling apart due to stupid flimsy design. Does the same thing happen using 6600 and hbh 65, i know i can listen to mp3's on it etc, i just want to know if i have to make that extra step to connect, its only slightly irritating but enough to make me want to get around it.

In response to the previous question try 0000, 1234, 12345

I work in a phone shop and most times these work, they are standard pairing codes as far as i know.

I have the same problem and have sent an email to the manufacturer to see what can be done. Have you resolved this issue?

I have a SE HBH-65. Works excellent, has good talk time also. Maintains connection if connected in the 'right way' that is connect to the headset via the phones BT menu.

That way it never breaks conncetion. 😉

I had done a bit of research before going in for the headset... SE seems to be the best in business.
