If the Sendo X lives up to it's specification and they advertise it well it could be a Nokia smart-phone killer, not that Nokia will mind because they are licensing the Series 60 platform to Sendo - so they still get a (probably large) cut of the profits.
I was looking at the 6600, but the odd shape and cramped keyboard have put me off - plus the rubbish default theme.
The Sendo X is the ultimate alternative as it's still basically a Nokia UI, but extra features have been added!
Shame they did not leave the * 0 # buttons for T9 entry the same way round as Nokia, but I can get used to that, at least they didn't put space on key 1 - a lot of manufacturers do which is why I have always stayed Nokia, good T9 implementation and speed.

Yeah, I was considering the 6600 and nearly ordered it until I found out about the poor speaker and mono MP3 playback even through a headset. Then I looked at the SX1 and this forum led me to the Sendo X!
I'll be used to the space button being on the # key since my T610 uses the same layout. I hope the buttons are responsive for txting cos my T610 ones are a bit spongy 😞
I can't wait to be listening to music on the college bus and people asking me what CD player I got, I'll pull out a tiny phone with a 512mb SD card in. Ummm this is my Mp3 player, oh and listen to this **unplugs headset and sound floods through the SoniX Twin Acoustic Stereo Chambers**
😃
Did I mention I have the full LOTR: ROTK film on my mobile people? Oh.... 😉
I agree keypad usage is important. I'm using a Nokia3650 and boy, the circular keypad sure need lots of getting used to. I'm still not comfortable with it yet. Maybe I'm getting old...
I'm looking forward to SendoX coming to Asia soon.
Any clouds on the horizon? Just one. Sendo. The Sendo X is the geek chic killer phone of 2004 and it blows every other Series 60 machine out the water. But a small Birmingham company doesn't (yet?) have the brand awareness that Siemens does - and if you want a phone that's not Nokia, the obvious smartphone to turn to is the sexy SX-1.
Just read this here it's a mini look at the just released Siemens SX1
I think I'll pass 😉
personally, i think im gonna pick the p30 over the sendo x
but none of my decisions are final as the phones havent been released yet
2 great phones to look forward to
