I bought a copy of Digital-Red Mobile Software - MotoRacer 3D for Sony Ericsson P800 (I used to have a P800 and this game is/was awesome 😃 ) and tried to install on my P900 last night. The phone reset itself and when it came back on there were several error messages. The MotoRacer softer installer failed because the phone had rebooted so I had to manually remove the files / folder that had been installed on the P900.
Having cleaned up the P900 I did a manual reboot (power button for 10secs etc) and everything seems fine.
So be careful.
Maybe we should have a list of tried and working / not working P800 applications ?

I also tried the nightmare game and it also crashed my phone by restarting it.
Somehow, the P900 cant seem to habdle these games, the game itself would run first but very slowly.. then hangs.. Hmm
I heard there was a benchmark on the P800 and P900 and P800 had faster processing power?? Is this true?

Where did you hear that? And no, it's not true. In fact the P900 is faster when it comes to things such as 3D games and video playback, because of a separate graphics processor.
The reason for some games and applications for the P800 not running properly on the P900, is in most cases just due to the screen difference between the two (number of colours).
no problems on my p900. Installed fine and runs sweetly.

Install on mine fine and runs fine on my P900... compared to m p800 ..... its roughly the same speed with the p900 .... the menu screen seems to be slower though ... (with sound on) .... sound off @ menu scren will be about the same speed though ...
Flubster, could you send me yours. I already tried and acually it works well. My problem is only with the display, because it is built for display 4096 and not for 65.000 so the display is not very good and sharp like using P800. Even i already download directly from www.worldup. This problem works also for Nightmare and bowling but horserace working very well.

hmm.. that could be it, it could very well be the screen, I have really read the benchmark post, a friend of mine told me that he read it on esato. Will try to search for it later. I have this game called "Metal Bluster Episode 1" and the sound works for awhile the slowly cuts off.. then you can continue playing the game without sound.. but question is, cant the P900 handle the sound? I have tried playing it with all other applications closed including tracker... So I dont really understand why..

just for info. that mgs karting, cobra attack, mobile pool, interstelar flames, indian tutquoise, complication, mahyong, strategic assault and twins fruit can work fine for my p9
