PJava fix for P900

7 replies · 3,299 views · Started 12 December 2003

Are we suppose to install this on our phones or is this for developers only? Was this included in the online update already? If so, can someone just post the link here so we dont have to register just to get this fix? Anyway, its not considered warez coz its a free update! 😊

Yes, you can install this image fix like any other SIS file. This image fix will be included in the next Organiser: R3x upgrade.

I don't see any harm in uploading the file, so here you go (please just PM me if there are any objections).

ah...sorry for asking but what exactly does this fix and how do I check the difference?

TIA

The image fix corrects a problem in Personal Java applications/games with transparent GIF's.

If you haven't installed the fix, you can see the problem in games such as "Complications".

I see, thanks. So I suppose that it would fix some of the P800 older programs and games where that happens, correct? I wonder if there are (will be) any fixes for the problem where the colors are inverted/thawrted in some P800 games.

Yes, those written in Personal Java (PJava).

Well, that's up to the developer of the game, to make it P900 compatible. You can see that Peter van Sebille updated EDoom already for the P900, to display 65K colours rather than 4096 (P800).
