Nokia's Series 60s Theme Editor

Guys,

Tried installing Nokia's Series 60s Theme Editor in Windows XP Home/Pro but didn't go beyond the initial extraction phase.

Read somewhere on the board that changing the Compatibility to Windows 2000 (right click>properties>compatibility) helps but not for me.

Any1 had luck with this so far on XP, please advise. Alternatively, I'd appreciate some suggestions on other freewares available.

Cheers!

Some are using it on XP,..it works,..but very slow !

I have changed the compatibility,..and run the wizard,..in xp tools, but get approx 75% into the installation, then it stops,...
so no luck for me yet with this studio 😞

My cellular service provider mentioned that till my mail provider supports MDA (mail delivery agent), I will not be able to access my mail on 6600 using his network!

Apparently no email service provider on the net (e.g. yahoo!, hotmail) supports MDA anymore (they used to).

Any1 came across such an argument?

I however installed the theme editor for 6600. I have the xp professional, Just changed the compatiability and my job was all done.....the matter of fact is when u change the compatiability there below its written APPLY, we have to apply the settings in compatiability and then the settings takes place and the theme editor gets smoothly installed.some even face the problem like it stops to 70 percent and then it dont move forward,it not that it dont move forward...it does move forward but take a damn long time....so u need patience in installation. Where the only problem im facing is when i open theme editor i see the option of create new theme....i do that...but then it makes me so much wait i get frustrate and switch off my pc hahahaha can anyone tell me does it really takes time or its just my pc which is getting screwed up.

It is slow yes,but depends on ram,if you have 256mb forget it,512 is ok (just) ,
768 Not bad at all. 😊

ps: if you have 512,make sure no other progs are running/restart pc before using.
