Question to the GPRS-symbol

Hi there,
I have a question on the GPRS symbol. The small "G" at the left upper corner of the screen is sometimes without frame, sometimes it is framed and sometimes it flashes. Does anybody know what this means? It isn't in the manual.

G on its own means you are connected to the GPRS service
G in a box means the connection is active
G with a line through it means GPRS is not available at the moment (when you are sending SMS for example)

Not seen it flashing yet - don't know about that one

Thanks! - I guess that flashing means it seeks a connection - but am not sure 😊
