Hi-silly question here:
I'm hardly new to cell phones, and have had two previous Nokias.
But I cannot seem to figure out how to enter letters correctly for contacts. Hope someone can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. This doesn't seem to enter letters in the same as my other phones. For example, say I want to enter the letter "R". I push the number 7 three times, right? No, doesn't work. In fact, when I push it once, the letter "S" comes up. Shouldn't it be "P" first? I Then I get a whole string of letters that don't want. Forgive me for this silly question, but what is the correct way on the N-gage? What am I not doing right? The only reason I even have contacts is because it's on my SIM card. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like you've got dictionary (predictive text)turned on which by the way is much quicker if you learn how to use it.
Otherwise go to message settings find dictionary and turn it off!

Many many thanks!! That's exactly what the issue was! One of those "duh" type things. Obviously in my experimenting around with my new phone/gadget, I enabled predictive text.
Everything is fine now. Actually, yes, ones you get used to it, I could see it being helpful. I've been having fun just checking out this device. But yeah!!! I'm glad to be able to enter names in like usual. Whew! Thanks again! What a great help you've been!
