Yahoo Mail Access

Hi, I recently got my 6600 and am having problems accessing yahoo mail via the e-mail client built into the phone. Has anyone been able to set this up?

I am in the UK. I have a yahoo.com e-mail address and I am on vodafone with a GPRS connection which works with vodafone live and other sites.

Yes I have it working fine on O2 network.

They gave me settings for O2 Online access point which is GPRS net access then I just setup the mailbox. Connected and it worked.

I almost gave up untill I found out your user name (in phone mailbox settings) has to be your full e-mail including the @yahoo.co.uk not just the bit before.

Mike.

did you know u hav to pay for accessing yahoo mail on a yahoo.com address???
best solution to this is get a yahoo.co.uk address and u dont need to enter your user name with @yahoo.com or .co.uk.

I have paid for my pop access on yahoo. I am still having problems connecting. Can anyone send me their settings. I am on vodafone. Any help is much appreciated

First of all open the messages menu
nxt press options then select settings
then select email
then select mailboxes
then create new mailbox.
firstly go to the mailbox type and change it to pop3
then bak to the top box u can name whateva u want
access point should be vodafone GPRS
email address should be your full email address
outgoing mail server is smtp.mail.yahoo.com
user name is just the first bit of your email address exluding @yahoo.com
password is your password
incoming mail server is pop.mail.yahoo.com
security off
apop secure login off

Hope u hav gone to the yahoo email website and selected mail options then pop access and forwarding then selected web abd pop access then selected submit. Without doing this you will not be able to view your emails.
Hope this helps.

Rummy😉
