Please advise on how I can use the email client on my 6600...I need to know what I shld input in parameters like 'outgoing mail server', 'incoming mail server'. 'mailbox type'.

Can i get these from the internet somewhere?

Normally you would start by calling your telephone operater to get the parameters for the card you are using. Let's say you have done that.....

Now go to the menu
Click Messaging
Options
Settings
E-mail
Mailboxes
(now select the mail box you want to use, or click Options- New)

Mailbox name: - anything you like, e.g. bt, bluewin, aol, etc etc

Access point in use: This will have been supplied to you by the supplier of your sim card. For example, mine reads "Bluewin E-Mail GPRS" my second phone reads "Orange English"

My e-mail address: use the same e-mail address as you use on your home pc, e.g. [email protected]

Outgoing mail server: This will have been supplied by your sim card operator. For example, mine reads: "mail.bluewin.ch" and the second phone says "smtp.orangemail.ch"

Send message: During next conn.

Send copy to self: no

Include signature: no

Now the difficult part.....

User name: this will be the user name you use on your pc to get your e-mail. On my email program I find that by doing Tools, Accounts, Properties, Servers, and then look in Account name.

Password: This will be the same password you use on your pc in your e-mail program to get your mail. If you have forgotten it, then you must set up a new account!!!!!!

Incoming mail Server: this will be something like mail.AOL.COM, mail.bt.net, or whatever service provider you use on your pc. mine is "mail.btinternet.com" Look in the same place as above, on your pc, under Incoming mail (POP3)

Mailbox type: POP3

sECURITY: OFF

APOP secure login: off
