N-Gage Games

N-Gage games are not freely downloadable.You need to buy a game card but i don't whether or not it will work on the 6600.

Don't request or post link to illegal downloads,anyone who does will be banned.

I think the MMC game cards themselves are restricted to the N-Gage only, so no luck with the 6600 with those I'm afraid.

It's true that some people HAVE cracked these games to work on the 6600 (and some games on 3650 too) but I must warn you NOT to ask about them here, as they are illegal, and also, as with ALL cracked software, you do not know how it was "modified" and CAN and probably WILL corrupt your phone.

That's too bad but im not takking any risk by downloading any illigal software on my fone if it's a fake it could damage my fone or mybe a virus...

i think as time goes by nokia will let more phones (notjust the ngage range) use the ngage games, seeing as phones like the 6600 can already play them i doubt nokia will want to miss out on a potentially lucrative market.

Once the N-Gage brand is established I'm sure this will be the case. Until then thought the focus for much of 2004 will be on the mahcine itself and the oft-mentioned 100 game titles on MMC that are going to be available.

And lets not forget the knock on effect of having a LOT of developers working on the Series 60 platform as a whole, even though they are pretty sure they are only working on the ickle games machine.

I know this is a dodgy subject so Im gonna start by confirming that ALL ngage games work on 6600 although lots of them have graphical/colour/crashing problems so don't bother!!

On a second note, I sincerely hope the developers do something with future ngage games to allow them to work on our phones. We have the hardware to run them and they would sell more if thet made them compatible... It would only upset ngage users but Im not worried about that!

I would definitely buy Pandemonium for example if it worked on my 6600 - It rocks!

Anyone know if ngage game developers are blocked from making them work on toher phones by nokia/some agreement of some kind??

I don't think all games work and even if they did,how much of them need the 9 way joystick?The 6600 is only 5 way.

I agree with GhostDog on this one..

The might be all RUNNABLE on 6600, but they must be far from PLAYABLE on 6600..

Now I'm reffering to Tony Hawk Pro Skater which I have used on the PC before and it was hard enough to do tricks when you could press any combination you like... And N-gage design might be far from the best when talking smartphones,but it much better than 6600 for games.. N-gage is made to be used by two hands.. 6600 isn't...

You can move around,I guess,but not pull off the most advanced tricks! quite simply,think about it.. how often can you play a game on aPC with one finger on steering at the time? most often,you need to either accelerat or brake while you're turning... How do that with the joystick of the 6600? split it in 4,perhaps? 😃😃 hehhe

RayGun,good point!Another good point:i just tried Rayman on my brothers N-Gage and on some levels,you need to crawl.I really don't know how can you do that with a 5 way joystick.
