i just got bluetooth and want to connect my computer to the internet via my phone - what software is there out there 2 do this?

thanks kris

ok i figured out how 2 do it by dialup - but i want 2 do it by gprs - as i get it 4 free 😊 - ne ideas??

Thanks

you really should search first before asking basic questions 😊

Basically you create a new dialup on your PC using 'bluetooth modem' as the device and use a dummy number instead of the phone number which will trigger GPRS on the phone instead of dialing anything - not sure what the dummy number is off the top of my head, as I say, do a search 😊

Something like #99*

i have searched!

and i can't find nething -

i spent another 3 hours searching for the "dummy number" last night and achieved nothing .. 😞

i called this guy from nokia a few hrs ago and he said that it can't be done - but i no it must be possible - so plz if u no how - could u tell me?

Thanks in advance - Kris

That is not a dummy number its a number that selects the appropriate access point.

Search google for Nokia bluetooth internet sharing.

The number is *99# Enjoy, no login and password needed! at least for me! 😉

The password should be the same as for the GPRS access point.Try numbers like *99***1#, *99***2#, *99***3# if you have more then one access point.*99***1# coresponds to the first access point etc etc.
