Need Help About SMS Problem

I am having a problem with SMS. I can send sms to international number without any problem. But when I replay to same number I get error massage massage sending failed I dont know whether its a phone or the network. I already update my handset with SE online service.

I had a similar problem a while ago when I used my 7650 and if memory serves me correctly the way to solve it is to make sure all the numbers in your contacts are stores in international format. I always enter numbers in the contacs with double zeroes, eg 0044 for uk instead of +44.

Otherwise I'm afraid I can't think of anything mate.

I can send a massage on the same number. But when i try to replay then i get error "massage sending faild".

I know a couple of people in Latvia who I can 'send' to, but not 'reply'. This seems to happen when they send me a message when they themselves are ROAMing, because at other times I don't hit the problem.

I suspect that the SMS header embeds flags for message centre routing, reply requests etc in the message, which must get sent back when you 'reply' to it.

Don't think there is much you can do other than report it to your telco.

It appears that there are quite specific agreements between each telco regarding messaging; for example, Vodafone (UK) can't send messages to Bougyetelecom in France, but can receive them, basically because someone in France has lost the bit of paper they are meant to send back to Vodafone with an access code.

Generally once enough service complaints stack up, then someone will get prodded to phone the other party telco and sort something out.
