According to the Register Ericsson is not happy with the poor performance of the Sony/Ericsson joint venture with sales dropping 30% 😞. They are threatening to stop their funding unless it performs better. It looks like the P800 could be crucial to their future, though I'm not sure if the P800 will have a big enough mass market appeal to offset the poor sales of its everyday phones. However as the Register mentions its unlikely that Sony would drop the venture even if Ericsson did drop out.
Ericsson worried about Sony/Ericsson
Ericsson sucks big time. Hopefully they will stop making their crappy phones. T68 compared to Nokia 7650 is very nice. 😊 Nokia 7650 has 4096 colors and T68 only 256 colors 😃
Somebody said the Ericsson T68 was crappy compared to the Nokia 7650,
yes, I could agree, but the T68 is not in the same market.
The Sony/Ericsson P800 is in the same market as the 7650 and the 7650 is by far the more crappy of the two. ER6.1 vs ER7, and a poxy little screen compared to the large touch screen of the P800.
I'll continue and say that the 7650 doesn't support the Bluetooth headset profile!
I'm sure that the P800 is also Tri-band, which the 7650 isn't!
It's NOKIA that sucks. They refuse to listen and take care of customers.
We were treated like dirt with the release of the 9210 before it was truly ready for the market.
NOKIA just wanted to get something out the door so they could dominate it yet again!
i work in a shop selling mobiles all day and the customers know nokia is crap but they have cheap phones!!
we've got the t200, t600 and soon the t100 all budgetfriendly phones and theyre selling like mad, you see all sonyericsson needed was a few mass phones
keep up the good work se
