Heh, even with the volume turned all the way up (you can use the joystick left and right with the call active... as well, BTW) The sound is painfully quiet.

...heh, dunno what the problem is in your phone(s) but with the loudspeaker (NOTE: this is NOT that thing in front of your ear 😃 )
on full, my phone definately makes plenty of noise when 'ringing' to catch my attention in Clubs, busy traffic etc.

Though I must say that the 'ear piece' (yes indeed, the one IN FRONT of my ear 8) is not loud enough, it is sometimes really hard to have a decent conversation with loads of noise around.

hrmm... the ear piece for me is quite loud, perhaps the speaker part is faulty or different batch's or different countries got slightly different speakers... who knows with-out comparing them... or I know is my phone and the demo the phone shop had were the same volume.

Yo Ray! U can hear your phone in a club?? You must have totally sensitive ear dude! I can barely listen to the phone when I am walking on a busy street!

The speaker is very soft, not loud enough. I thought it was my phone, but then I got 2 of my friends who had the same issue, and when to Nokia office and they concur.

Maybe YOUR phone is the special one? 😃

I called nokia tech support... apart from the fact the whoever i was talking to, english was his second language(we could bearly understand each other). He said first that my phone was faulty, he stuck with that until I told him that I have listened to other phones and they sound the same. Then he changed his story to the volume was to low, then he changed it to the ring tone is a quite one. After all that, he still refused to accept the fact that this model has a quite loud speaker. I asked if it is possible in ANY way to adjust the source code and he first said that it is impossible to view the any files on the phone except of games, contacts, notes and messages(for the record, im still waiting to a usb to bluetooth connector. So please correct me if i am wrong for this). I said that it is to my understanding(from reading these forums), that we are able to view the whole directory. He said it is impossible to do that. But after a few minutes it seem that he changed his story again!

Anyway, after 30minutes to some guy who could hardly understand me, the only thing i got from all that is it is impossilbe to change anything on the phone. And by some strange stroke of luck you do, you lose all warrenty.
