In the time I was away everyone seems to have spawned an avatar. For the benefit of all present, what is your avatar and why did you choose it?
Mine is simply me on a night out in London with some mates. Chosen cos it was the best pic I had of me, and I would have had one of Chiba Mamoru from SailorMoon looking like he's been kicked in the nuts (which I used to use on another forum), but the avatar site hosting it dissappeared and I couldn't find a good replacement.
Mines just because I like Cricket and I thought it might confuse people from America.
Of course when I say I like Cricket, what I mean is I like sitting in the Sunshine Drinking beer, or as is more likely in the UK not sitting in the sunshine but still drinking beer. I can't play the game because it makes your beer spill. People have the wrong idea about Cricket!

Saw N9210's moving cog wheels and decided I wanted an animated avatar too. That wa sthe start of a learning curve. Grim Reaper caught my eye when I first saw it. Then I had to figure out how to cut the file size to 40% of original to get inside the 6 kB limit.
I tried to put on an avatar, but it seems to have broken rafe's forum and now we can all see the inner working of the forum. Not as hi-tech as he likes to makes out!!!

I don�t remember if that was taken the night the bus hit me, or if it�s from the night the bike lost the front wheel and I took a 36� yard free flight into a lightpole...

Mine is just 2 pics ...1 where I look up and 1 where I look down ....Then layered in Photoshop and a 3�rd layer for a transperant background..Then bake at 230 C for 12 min and save as transperant .gif..
But avatars are truely a cool thing on a forum (thanx Rafe)....Love the way it gives all a little personality 😉

It might be Wallace, or should that be Grommit, but it's is one of them and it does look kind of geeky unlike my chiselled chinned Vin Diesel look-a-likey self. I didn't dare use one of my me in reality, none of you would speak to me again due to jealousy.
