Right has anyone managed to get hold of any games WORTH playing for the 7650, I realise that's it's a new phone, but there's gotta be something more entertaining than tetris and bounce out there.
The best game i've found is Racing Fever Deluxe, bit hard though.
I know someone is releasing Doom 7650, but I don't know when, but I can't wait.
Compared to the 9XXX, we only have a really small choice. 😞
Give us link/url to that racing game 😃

I know they're not graphically great, but I recently started playing the Spruce games (wap: http://wap.spruce.jp, web http://www.spruce.jp/freemidlets/)
Bowling is quite cute, and the Checkers (Draughts) one is OK.
They're free too!
Hi,
I'm not sure what midlets are? Do they all run on the 7650??
Leave your email address and I'll send the program to you!, as I can't remember where I got it from.
I've got quite a few from Spruce, there adictive, but nothing special.
I don't know why I'm complaining, its a phone! If I want to play games I should by a Gameboy. lol.
Try ZeroIndex or, more specifically, their games download page.
...the racing game 8)
- try: Silverball or SkyRaider

Bingo!
Choose the right tools for the job. Okay there are some benefits to amalgamating your device, but I'm much happier carrying a MiniDisc Player (Sony), a Gameboy Advance (Nintendo), the 9210 Communicatior (Nokia) and the Psion NetBook (Teklogix).
I doubt that in the next 18 months there'll be one device that can do all of the above more than just satisfactory. Yes I know that X device can do Y as well, but if I want a decent version of Streetfighter on the move then it's got to be the Gameboy Advance (or the now defunct Neo-Geo Pocket). I've yet to even see StickFighter for any of the Symbian phones.

You what???? take it you dont go very far!!!!!!
i carry a wallet and thats too much. guess you are never short of processing power.
Most I normally carry is Nokia 9210 and Sony Minidisc, little need for anythng else for me.
Is that Racing Fever Deluxe freeware?
Yup, as far as I can see it's the full version.
Yeps. Maybe full version but absolutely not freeware. Where did you get it?
Sad but true: Some of the little wireless game companies without funding will die soon not only because there aren't enough consumers with java-phones yet but also because the potential consumers are pirating the software...
...my experience so far installing software/games to my 7650, is telling me that its not too easy (or lets say impossible) to pirate the software when using the IMEI code to generate a valid registration key for the software. But, I guess there'll be people again turning to reverse engineering 😮
I found the link to the racing game a month a go, posted to this forum.
That's where I downloaded it from, the link didn't refer me to the webpage, it went straight to the download. How was I supposed to know if it was the full version or not?
Don't try to send me on a guilt trip about pirate software, I couldn't care less. You'd think with the technology today that they could stop it. And it's not just Java software. You can just about get anything copied/downloaded if you look hard enough. CD's/PC Software/Sky digital Cards.
And you're not telling the truth if you say that you have never downloaded a song through a Napster-like program or copied a CD or Software or anything that makes the original company loose money.
I do feel sorry about the Little companys that get ripped off, buy people. But how can you feel sorry for companys like Microsoft that charge 1000's of pounds for a program? With CD/DVD writers becoming so cheap, It's enavitable that this was always going to happen.[/quote]
I agree it's almost inevitable, and with cheap and easy to use systems it was bound to spread, but that doesn't make it right.
There are applications I'd like to get written and that won't happen without the small development houses, because the market is too small for the big boys.
With most 7650 apps costing around $30 or less I don't think you can compare it to Microsoft charging huge somes for their buggy software.
Having said that I want a few existing applications, but I don't have a credit card. Because of the on-line purchasing and distribution used by most of the 7650 developers I can't buy their software.
A lot of people overlook that one way to beat piracy is to make your product cheap and easily accessible. And without taking those steps you actively encourage piracy.
I must admit that I am one of those bad people who copy games, only for myself though and also they cost around AU$100 which that isnt something that I can not afford(maybe one every know and then). But I wouldnt mind some of the games ive seen for my phone and I would be willing to pay for them... the only problem is, i dont have a credit card... and if i did, I REALLY do not trust e-commerce 😞
Yeah that's true, some people don't want a credit card, I have one but I certainly wish I never got one in the first place. The problem is most of these companys selling the software aren't based in the UK, and I think Switch is a UK thing (Correct me if i'm wrong).
Don't get me wrong I am greatfull for the Microsoft's of this world, becuase without them things like this fourm wouldn't exist.
But for example I just got hold of a copy of a Macromedia web design package (Fireworks, Dreamweaver ect.) there are 12 programs in all. If I had purchased these programs it would have cost me nearly 11,000.
How the hell can a company justfy selling a web design package for 11,000?????? (The price of a new car)
I realise it's people like me that push the price of these products up due to lost sales, but the average user can't afford to spend 11k on a software package.
Agreed. I am in now condoning any act of piracy, whether it's book, software, etc. But some company are charging their software like there is no tommorow! They're getting greedy!
I am willing to pay US$ 2,000 for the Dreamweaver package, and I consider that as an investment. But more than that, P2P, here I'll come!
hey hwich applets do I download .jar or .jad?
Here is the link to DOOM:
http://www.wildpalm.co.uk/main.html
Doom is pretty cool, although you have to remove everything else in your phone so that you have enough free memory for it 😞
