The 6600 themes will not work as-is on the N-Gage. The themes support in the 6600 is a new feature in Series 60 version 2.0 & the N-Gage is based on Series 60 version 1.2.
You can install applications like SmartLauncher on the N-Gage, and get some customization capabilities like the themes offer on the 6600.

And a bit of clarification as this can be confusing: The Symbian operating system is version 6.1 on the N-Gage, and the Series 60 platform that is built on top is version 1.2.
On the Nokia 6600, the Symbian OS is version 7.0s and the Series 60 platform is version 2.0.
On these devices they (Symbian OS and Series 60) are not really separable. Is that a real word? 😊 In other words, they come as a single, interlinked package.
