it would be nice if this could be implemented for on sending sms on flip open 😊 so it would be quicker to search for a name..

Yes but what I meant was when you send SMS when flip is open to replace the "check mark contacts" screen 😊 and maybe an option to make groups so you can send group sms to! 😊
Can you sms in flip closed mode?
of course you can! Just use the jog dial and scroll to the envelope icon 😊

Sorry, I was wondering why you were asking that 😊 By the way I just found out you can use you customized folders when you choose who to send sms too 😊 Check out my post if interested or if you already know this, pardon my being so excited about it, I just find it so useful! 😊

Understood, but you still have to put checks against each name...I have some groups that are 50ish people...what I would like to do is to just send to all with one click!
Maybe it's too much to ask!!!

I think a lot of us desire that too but this thing ive dicsovered is one step closer to the end, (cause im about to break.. everything you say you will.. Joke, taken from linkin park song hehehe)
At least you can see your group of 50 right away then going through the entire 1000 contact, I have around 800 😊
The next best thing would either be a "Select all" option or really make set groups 😊
The more of us that state the desire will probably lead to the result...just look at the P900 over the P800!!
You are correct though, your solution does provide the interim solution...
The ability to send sms with the flip closed and substitute for standard contacts when sending sms is in our plans! 😎
We'll also try to make it possible to send sms to a group in P800
