I've heard rumours that Nokia would announce a Series 90 based device at the 3GSM conference held in Cannes, February 2004. It supposedly has at least integrated WLAN support in addition to features of the Nokia 7700.
Have you heard or seen anything that would support this? There's been speculation about Nokia announcing a WLAN handset, but is it the same one?

Of course there's a rumor. There's ALWAYS a rumor...
This might not be the new Communicator. Nokia executives have said for several times that they still believe in the QWERTY keyboard design of the Communicator 9xxx series.
Instead this could be a totally new product line for business users following the 7700 which is targeted more for consumer markets.
In any case, some big announcements are made at the 3GSM conference in February 2004.

The best evidence I've found that a new Communicator is in the pipeline is Michael's comment in message 9 in reply to message 8 on this thread on his Mobile Burn site 😉

That's the good news. The bad news is, that the article says it won't be available until the end of this year😞
Communicator will continue as a Series 80 device. But outer is like Series 40v.2 => 128x128 screen, three soft-button etc...

price wil be around 800 euros in europe.
