Is any one experiencing problem which is to connect 9210 to laptop?

My concern is I have to plug in/out the data cable to 9210 most times when I do data-sync then my laptop can find 9210 device.

P.S. I am using Win98SE platform.

Apparently there have been quite a few problems with connections. Some pople have none but a few do.

I cant off er any specific pointers, but firmware 3.54 is meant to improve things and a new version of the connection software is availale on Nokia's site.

PcSuite 9210 has some problems with Sync and Backup. There will come new version from Pc Suite someday if nothing else help.

There seems to be a problem with the PDA function of the 9210. Nokia South Africa have delayed the launch of the product due to FREEZING and they said THIS IS A SOFTWARE PROBLEM GENERATING FROM FINLAND'S SIDE FOR WHICH THEY HAVE TO SEND ADDITIONAL UPGRADED SOFTWARE TO LOAD.
I have held on to my 9110i waiting for 9210 problems to die down. PLease send any comments on these problems to encourage me & others in waiting. Eliot

MTNSMS enables one to send SMS to mobile phones from the web page www.mtnsms.com The 9110i doesnt support JAVA "Script" and fails to send the SMS. Will anyone please tell if the 9210 can achieve the above. I am not clear if it supports (1) Frames (2) JAVA Applets AND (3) JAVA SCRIPT as well. Try it out PLEASE

I am using NT4.0. My system would not connect to the datasuite until I had shut down mailtoSETI@homeSETI@home</a> and then it connects first time, every time.
I believe this is because the SETI process uses every spare iota of processor power, only giving it up when asked to by the system and for some reason the datasuite is not asking for enough power to do it.
This is probably also the case for any system with intensive background processes.

have you upgraded to 3.54?

I have been having more problems with connection to PC since I had machine upgraded. IR absolutely refuses to work and I getting similar errors to yours on the cable including disconnects halfway through software installs.

also you might check to see if you are running any other PDA connect program. I have noticed that the onhandpc connect software and activesync can cause nokia s/w to get a little stroppy

I dont know whether it will help but there is an updated version of the PC Connection suite available from the Nokia download pages..
