Well i am about to get some accesories for my n-gage.
First off i want a bluetooth dongle now the best one i found was msi ms-6967
http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/communication/cmu/pro_cmu_detail.php?UID=326&MODEL=
Has anyone got this dongle or knows about it?
What are your opinions on the matter?
I am buying it from here :
http://www.dabs.com/uk/channels/hardware/productView.htm?quicklinx=2Q8M
The second thing i want to buy is memory but i am unsure of compatability issues. I am thinking of buying it from here:
http://www.mymemory.uk.com/
unfortunately the site uses frames so i cant give you a direct link to the memory card i want but i believe most of you are competent enough to find it. The one i was looking at was the 128mb generic card(cheapest) or possibly the 256mb.
Thanks for your input guys!
Yes, I got MSI MS-6967. It have worked fine with 3650, 6600, N-Gage, 6230, 7600 and Sony Ericsson P800. It works quite long distance, about 20 meters. I can only tell good about the dongle, haven't have any problems with it.
About the MMC, I suggest that you buy Sandisk's MMC, those most likely works with Nokia, and of course I have Sandisk 64MB MMC... Will get 256MB Sandisk later on.
Thanks
Thats cool
I dont know about the memory though i will probably try sandisk and the other one well just to see if i can save myself some coppers. Thanks
For MMC Cards (128mb 25) try www.allack.co.uk
or www.ebuyer.co.uk
they hav a rly speedy delivery service
Just a small warning,if you are looking for a 256 or 512MB MMC,give it a try before buying it,if you can. Many 256 or 512MB MMC don't work with Symbian devices but they do with Digital Cameras and such.
A working 256 and 512 MB MMC: www.tecic.com.tw
WOW 256 and 512mb cards actually work ? wooohoooooo!!!! 😃
Yes they do!But not with the Communicator i'm afraid 😞

Hmm, atleast Sandisk 256MB MMC should work on 92XX...
No they don't, that's why I was so suprissed to hear that they do work on the N-Gage 😉
BTW 1GB is coming soon 😃
Hmm, wonder why it says on one Finnish computer shop site that Sandisk 256MB MMC works with N92XX. 🙄
interesting, Most people stopped trying after the first 256mb mmc cards available didn't work on the 9210.
So it could be that those from Sandisk do work, if I buy one for the N-Gage I'll let you know 😉
Yes it is,some brands do work and some brands don't,i'm talking about MMCs with higher capacities then 128 MB.I've heard something about a read timeout seting in Symbian OS itself. Here (Don't you guys think i deserve at least a free 128 MB for the free advertising on TEC's behalf 😃) you can find a list of devices that have been tested successfully with TEC MMC's - they work with most,if not all Series 60 devices. The Communicator is not in the list, but if you have a N-Gage and get one for it,it wouldn't hurt to try. 😃
BTW:Nice to see you again in the forums!!
ssssshh, I'm preparing a come back 😉
yeah dazzler right now no one realyy knows😛
The 256 mb MMC from Hama works. My friends and I, 4 total, all have them and they work great and are really inexpensive.
have fun, go gage
Where did you buy? I found a 256 for 50 pounds!
My Brother has a N-gage with Sandisk 128MB MMC, not tried the 256MB though. Tecic has upto 512MB as Ghostdog has said in couple of posts in 6600, 3650 forums also. The problem is their availabilty in our country- no one has heard of Tecic- no sales outlet too......😞
Try Ebuyer for the Memory cards 256mb for 51 I have bought 2 - they have a really speedy service and they both work fine on N-gage and 6600 and they are filled to the brim with movies and games....
I think its worth waiting for the 512mb ones to come down in price as they are more than double the price of a 256...
P
I agree also ebuyer has got some good prices.
Please introduce some more good quality eshops!😃
need a firm answer on what 256mb brands / makes are known to work with the 6600 ?? and one have a 256 and a 6600 ?

i think u should ask this in the 6600 furom😉
i did mate but our superior GhostDog Super Moderator !!!!! closed my thread and said it has already been discussed in the ngage forum which if i wanted an ngage i would have bought one and be checkin out the n gage section and not the 6600 one
so that was that i only wanted someone to say if they had a 6600 and useing 256 mb mmc and what brand but wasnt allowed ..... i should be hung for being so out of order
especially being the first time i post in a community
Tecic confirmed & Sandisk should too.......😊
weebroonieuk, one of the rules of the forum is not to spam it.Posting the same thread all over again is spaming.I gave you a link to this discussion because it was the most recent one,if you actually searched the forum(the 6600 forum) like many others do you would've found your answer.Only i have posted such information in the 6600 a couple of times.BTW:All Nokia Series 60 devices use the same MMC slot,so if the MMC works on the N-Gage it will work on the 6600 also.
not knowing the ins and out of a forum i looked back quite a few pages in the 6600 forum and not knowing that an n gage and a 6600 share the same platform or os i havent bothered checking them out as in my oppinion there different types of phone for different people therefore i looked for specific help on my phone
thats is why i asked the community to which i searched for and became a memeber of to get there advice and help
weebroonieuk, like i said in my previous post,i've posted the same information in the 6600 forum too, more then once.If you Searched the forum you would've found it.
the search page where i seleceted what mmc as my search term and selceted series 60 nokia 6600???
therefore displaying results only relevant to MY PHONE im not interested in a n gage or any other so didnt include them in my search
if i was i would have purchased it that is why i browse and search only the 6600 forum and when i did i found no definate answers which is all i wanted a 6600 user to tell me if they used 256mb adn what brand
hardly breaking forum rules when i search for an answer and i am uncertain so ask for help from the memebers
i thought thats what the community spirit was for and people came on to help others who were not in the know / uncertain and needing reassuring
