Ok..i bought nokia 6600 yesterday and i think its great but i need some help😕 How do i transfer themes to my mob ? In what format do they have to be?(.zip...) Also backgrounds how do i get them in my mob ? Pls help me 😊 Anything should be appreciated😛

FOA, your gonna need something (Bluetooth or IrDA adaptor) to connect your phone with the PC ( you already have one I guess).

Almost all themes are .SIS, all you have to do is to install the PC Suite, connect the phone then install the themes and transfer any images you want.

Ok that helped me a lot but what about .mbm files? and games not in .sis format?

There is a lot about this in the forum. please do a search before asking... We don't mind helping, but it's not so fun to write same answers over and over again.. 😉

But,I'll make you a short list here, sorted by filename:
first of all, connect the phone to the pc..

*sis
- either transfer to phone and install in the phone itself or doubleclick it in Win to install

*jar
-Transfer the file to the phone and it will automatically install after you press the button to read the new message.. (programs transfered to the phone will show up in your inbox as a new message)

*zip (containing .sis file)
-extract the zip file in your pc and proceed as you would with a normal .sis file...

*zip (containing .jar& jad files)
-again,extract in your pc and transfer the .jar file to your phone...

*zip (containing .class,.png,.lng,etc)
-these zip files are in fact .jar files with a different file extention..
Mark the zip file in your pc,press F2 and change the file extention from *****.zip to *****.jar)
Example: Atlantis.zip(containing .class,etc) rename to Atlantis.jar.
After doing so,transfer to the phone and install as any other .jar file...

*mbm
-these are nokias multiple bitmaps(mbm)
If these are meant for themes, you should use the Series60 Theme Studio to make a .sis file of..after that, same procedure as described above for the .sis files...

For any other type of file (.3gp,gif,jpg,txt,etc) I would recommend using the PCSuite for transfer to correct folders..

This should be about it,I think..
Please,if you see anyone wondering about this in the future, please link to this post.. 😉

Happy New Year,guys...
Cheers
