please help me with PC SUITE

Please help!!

you need bluetooth connection for pc suite, read your manual and the forum, its mentioned many times.

you can put movies on your mem card thru usb

how do you put movies on using the USB cable???

I never use pc suit, it seems poinless to me. I just connect my ngage 2 the pc and go into my computer then open it as a removable drive. What is the point of pc suit?

PC Suite allows you to do quite a few different things but REQUIRES a bluetooth connection. PC Suite will allow you to back up the device, Synchronize your contacts and calendars from programs like Outlook. It also functions as an editor/viewer for other settings on the device as well as uploading applications. It also allows you to transfer files and images if desired.

The USB connection works if you have a valid memory card installed and uses Windows explorer to move files back and forth.....just like another drive.

I've tried connecting it, but it doesn't recognise the n-gage is connected, and there's no removable drive for it. Also on the n-gage its got the USB logo. Does it make any difference if you have a game inside instead of a proper memory card???????

Then this is a real piccle.
In theory as soon as you plug in n-gage xp should start loading drivers for it and the you go to my computer and you should see your mmc (n-gage) as another hard drive.
Do you have a friend or relative with xp on their machine?
If yes try it on their computer.
If this fails try diferent usb cable and if that fails have your n-gage and mmc checked out.

Also you will not be able to access your n-gage through pc-suite via the usb cable.

I tried with different USB cables but that didn't work, just wondering if there's any settings you can change either on the PC or N-gage, like on the nokia connection manager?????

I dont use Nokia connection manager it doesn't work for me. Its all just using the windows interface. As far as settings go there are miriads of settings in windows that affect usb trying to go through them all one by one and then you telling me what happens is not a good idea. On the n-gage the only setting i can think of is to ensure that the memory card isnt locked and if you dont know how to do that i doubt that is your problem. First things first when you plug in the n-gage into the usb what does xp actualy do?
Also do you have any other USB devices?

I've got a game in as the memory card, you don't think thats locked???

well firstly xp should say new hardware found and then go hardware found n-gage. Then loading removable hard drive software and then you can use n-gage as removable drive. Now this happens the first ever time you plug in n-gage. plug in n-gage and then look in my computer. you should find an extra hard drive icon and that is your n-gage. Now if you dont see this icon then try unlocking n-gage by going to Tools-Memory and then options and go to set password if it requests a password or shows that there is a password then just delete password if there is one otherwise press cancel. Your n-gage can see the mmc fine right?

yep, it recognises the memory card, but when I go into options theres no set password, all there is is backup device mem.

It didn't come with a memory card, it should of done because I brought it here, I'll by a memory card and see what happens.
There's no way I can unlock it, is there???

before you go out and buy a card. What card is it? Why is it locked and where are you?

When you go to memory in tools look at memory details and tell me what it says. You can unlock it i think but since you are not very sure of what you are doing and neither am i. I would recommend you buy an mmc instead. I recommend http://www.allack.co.uk/

Amazon has the cheapest prices but you have to wait a while. Remember you want MMC not SD.

After talking with Nokia, they said nokia Manager does nothing for the NGAGE.....it just loads on the PC.
