Not a chance & time to get back to the real world.
If you search back, you'll see that carphonewarehouse and others have said "available" or "soon" or "next week" or "next month" for months before the release of most any phone before it has been released.
Has there ever been a single instance, when the retailers know better than the phone manufacturers when the phone is ready & available for sale? 😉

And the Nokia 7700 page says the 7700 is "Planned in the 2nd quarter of 2004" so I doubt it will be out before that!
Expansys is taking preorders to - I know because I did it late 2003. Got the reicept as well. OF course a preorder dosntmean anything, the phone is definately not coming out this first Q.
Maybe they will push it out once they see the new Treo610 - that thing is going to kill and kill well.

I know these places can get you all excited and its hard not to when they mention specific dates but surely we ahve learnt by now that until its in your hands anyhting can happen - but having said that I am definitely going to chuck my 6600 in for a 7700 as I feel, for nokia, it will finally bridge that gap between phone and PDA - I ready to step up a gear and not feel like I am loosing out on certain phone functions liek you would have done maybe with the communicators...

If I knew lots of resellers and had ways to swap phones easily, I would like to get 7700 as soon as it gets out (this spring?), try it out for a while and then move on to the new communicator when it gets out at the end of the year. It would be nice to try out the touch screen and the other new features in 7700 although I do suspect I would still prefer the 9500.
But I don't how to swap phones easily, 😞 so I guess I just need to read the forum and hear what others have to say and then decide. 😕
At least there is now a chance to make a comparison between the two as the details on both are out.
This is some great stuff - getting really excited now - but the first thing I noticed is that I think it looks bigger than I thought it was gonna be but then I guess if you keep making screens bigger then the phones can only go so small...

Carphone Warehouse now has a more realistic date of August 2004. Nokia have always said it would be availible in the second quarter.
August seems pretty feasible, more so than March defo.
