Ok so i'm still having trouble.😕
I went out today and got a "nokia 64 mb memory card" from game stop.
I put it in my phone, and went to my computer-removable disks. this is after of course i plugged in the usb and all.
when i clicked it, it said, please insert disk into drive f:
whats wrong, why cant i use windows explorer or whatever to put stuff onto my n-gage?
is it the settings of the removable drive that need to be changed?
could it be because i just installed XP on my computer when i used to have 98?😕 helpp😕
try formatiing ur memory card
One thing i noticed today, is that alot of the memory cards that come with the n-gage have been locked, and u cant access the memory card from ur pc or ur fone when its locked.
So make sure its unlocked when attaching it.
i formatted the card, i cant tell if it has been locked or not, but i expect it isn't and stilll when i double click removable drive it says please insert disk into drive f: does annnyyone have a reason or solution for me????????????😕
i think i figured it out a problem but i dont know how to fix it. In XP when you go to "safely remove hardware" program, it shows another thing in the usb port as drive f: must be the one connected to my printer or wireless mouse,
and it shows the usb port that my n-gage is connected do as drive g:.
My "removable drive is trying to read drive f:. so i need to figure out how to make my n-gage drive f: rather than G:
so i stopped the one thing thats called drive F: and unplugged and replugged the n-gage but it's still reading it as drive g:.
what do i do guys.. shadow12 do you have any answers? you've helped me through my difficulties so far and i appreciate it😊
Try this:
Unplug the all hardware in the usb ports excluding mice and keyboards. Then once xp loads up plug in n-gage. It should theoreticaly load in the next available drive letter. Otherwise try double clicking which ever drive the n-gage is meant to be if it says can not access drive whatever. Plug in your other piece of hardware aswell and see if you can access it and then try access n-gage. Now if all above fails.
Go to the n-gage memory management and tell me what options you have and what the state of the memory card is.
u mentioned you solved your dilema how? just so i know
well actually it still is considered drive (G😊 and it is not listed in removable drives. it's listed in hard disk drives right next to drive C: isn't that funny? i dont know how i did it i just kept messing with the settings and it gave me an option to open with windows explorer, hooray for me
