this may sound weird, but i have both units at home, the white 6600 and the old rose colored 6600....and the white one is generally faster in every task over the old rose one....i dont know why, they have the same firmware anyway....this is just my observation and thought id share it with you guys.
ex: fscaller
old rose = 4-5 secs before the pic appears
white = 0-1 secs before the pic appears
navigation is also generally slower on the old rose.
so if you got the white 6600....good for you...as i have it too. 😛

i'll be buying a 6600 in the next few days so I would like to know if this is just a freak occurance, or is it happening all the time?

well i havent compared the phone yet but ya 6600 is slow phone but it sounds very weird that colour case can be a reason for that..!!

I doubt that he meant that colour in itself could be a reason,but maybe there is difference inside those two phones?! in the making...dunno.. just plain guessing here.. 😊
just get the white one to be sure...ive compared about 4 old rose colored ones to a couple of white models....and they all give the same results....white is faster than old rose.
perhaps you should also check their *#0000# 😊
they all had v3.42.1 firmware. 😊
