mmmm.... where shall i start....????

it's OS and most features are the same with the N6600. so, interface and data sync from my 6600 & p800 was never a problem. i transfered everything including contacts via bluetooth.

MAIN, BIG, AWESOME difference is that it's STEREO, yes, STEREO radio and MP3.... with the headset similar to the SL45

it's a combined N6600 & SL45

ofcourse, hirap mag sms yung the keypads since it's on the sides.

but the blue blacklight is awesome. it's slim as in slimmer than the 6600 and it's lines, edges, and surface are all smooth and glossy.

in short, its a classy phone

as for apps, all i have installed are just asic apps that i have on the N6600.

will try to install games and other apps within this week.....

feeling ko.... i can leave without the 6600 and be replaced by this baby.....

it's actually a nokia 6600 on a siemens shell with the SL45 functions

and lastly, it's GPRS is like the 6600, meaning, same complicated shet and settngs. use the settings of the 6600.

Regarding GPRS settings, Siemens have a free service for sending them directly to your phone on My-Siemens 😊

Arg, can't get link to work... 😞

I have serious problems.
Although it does run nice & everything,

Accu life is very very short!
The battery draines in less than two days of normal usage. I did "accu training", but it doesn't help.

How much life do you get out of it? Or is it just my battery?

That's pretty much normal the first weeks, especially if you use the phone quite much, as you probably do (MP3 etc...). Make sure you de-activate BT when not using it.

Are there many people using the SX1 now? And where did you buy it? The price at expansys is rather steep (over $700US), especially considering that this phone seems to be a minority among internet users.

I would be interested to hear more on its strengths and weaknesses. I'm really interested in the Sendo X, but it seems (based on some preorder pricing) that it will be too expensive.

You can't say it's a "Nokia 6600 on a Siemens shell with the SL45 functions" - SX1 uses Symbian OS 6.1. The 6600 uses 7.0s. No themes etc.

I'll stick with my 6600 thanks 😃

7.0 is hardly anything to rave about IMO...

if I had the chance I would GLADLY trade my 6600 for a SX1 -- especially now they they have v6 of firmware... nearly everything has been fixed

reebz,i know exactly what you mean.I was just visting the Siemens head office here in Skopje, trying to score an SX1 for review so i got to play with it for a while. On first look the SX1 is very impressive, the screen was a little to bight, maybe. You'll get to read my review if i score one. 😉

GhostDog, I had a 10 minute play with one recently, I wrote a quick summary review on another forum, if you would like, I can copy+paste it here, if any other users would like an opinion from a 6600 owner...

however, I know some SX1 owners, who are equally impressed by the 6600, so its just a matter of what you dont have!!

just quickly though, the SX1's stereo sound, radio and better camera are GREAT. Style of the phone is a big plus too. However, with the lack of themes, it is hard to go back to such boring and dull interface that the S60 v1 offers....

In my opinion, the 6600 is a much better to use as a daily phone... however the SX1 definately has the wow factor.
