Does anybody know if there's a firmware update available? I'm still waiting to sort out some of the probs with Orange UK (no voicemail spool, no line2 etc.)

I read in the newsgroups the 6600 that is now released on Orange UK has a newer firmware.

yes, there is a 3.49 available but I heard it is horribly buggy because it is an Orange firmware.
from what I heard, 3.48 is the most stable (so far) and it is an official nokia firmware, the 3.49 (according to what ive been told on other forums), has been modified by orange.
Cool well either of those would be a significant upgrade on mine v3.42.1
How do I get it upgraded?
Nokia does not allow anyone to modify the firmware as far as I know, they produce it for Orange.

Take it to your nearest Nokia Service Centre - they should do it for you in a few hours. A tip though - back up your phone memory first! 😊

I ask the nokia center for firmware upgrade but their customer service representative told me that they don't perform firmware upgrades, unless, the unit is defective....
Poor service!
As with most service centres, just give them a bug and they'll update for free.
