Hello, I'm developing and application for the Nokia 9210i, and I need to know a couple of things.
First; the software development platform. The DSK for Series 60 doesn't seem to adjust for S80 programming too well; the dedicated Series 80 SDK is intended for MS Visual C++ 6.0, which is obsolete and out of stock. Will the SDK run in Visual Studio .NET or similar?
Second, is it possible to control the small phone cover screen? the application should have an accessible UI in both open and closed state.
Thanks for any information in advance!

Right. The Series 60 SDK is only for Series 60 phones.
There is no newer Series 80 SDK & as far as I know, it won't work with the newer Visual Studio.NET, only the old Visual Studio/C++ 6.0. I'm sure you can get a copy. You should be able to get someone sell you an old/used copy, even if it is no longer available via any retail channels. You'll also get it, I think, through a Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) subscription from Microsoft.
There is no access to the cover screen side from user-developed software, as far as I know.
