Are there any disadvantages to using a 256mmc over a smaller card? Assuming you know of a card which is compliant with the 6600.

eg. slower transfer, failure of some applications, corrupt?

Only problem I have come up against is that the phone is very sluggish while it reads the memory card. It's sluggish to the point where I think a 128mb would have been the better option tbh.

not the case for me... i have a 256MB MMC and i have noticed no change in performance since i swapped it with my original 32MB card! i supppose it depends on the quality, or manufactor

I think you will find if you go into AppManager you will have to wait while it loads the applications installed on the 256mb mmc. This takes about 10 seconds....which doesn't sound much but when you are wanting to install or uninstall something it does begin to grate...

suppose it depends on the amount of junk you have on it! i have lots installed, and app manager doesnt take that long! i find 256MB is perfect for viewing full length movies, listening to loads of MP3's or just using it for loads of games!
