hey i just bought my n6600 in holland for a nice price of 440 Euros everythign is fine but only 1 thing i cant do is connect my phone to pc 😞 can anyone help me plz ????
ps : i read almost whole forum but i didnt saw anything what u need to connect it do u need some kinda bluethooth thingy that u must instal to pc ? if yes whats the best product ?? and how much does it cost ????

before you buy one bluetooth USB dongle for your PC,
you could use the PC suit for 6600 to copy the files via IR to it.
and how do i know if my pc has ir ??

Looks like your PC doesn't have. You can buy MSI BT dongle, it works fine with my 6600. Or get any IR adaptor, it should work with the 6600 as well.
so is that MSI BT dongle a bluethooth connect tingy for ur pc ??

or MSI PC2PC Bluetooth Transceiving Key is what its called on ebuyer in the uk very good works like cable connection except it can work from upto 20 meters and bluetooth dongle is a good investment everything is gettin bluetooth inside these days allowing all your expensive toys to communicate / synchronise etc
u can even reate a small and cheap wireless network with these if u have a couple of pc's or a pc and a laptop ! its all good go with bluetooth and u dont have to be in the line of sight like infra red

I installed the MSI USB Dongle, and then the Nokia PC Suite, but the PC Suite wont search USB ports for the Bluetooth device, only the COM ports which is a bit stupid.
I just use Windows XP Bluetooth Neighbourhood thing, and drag and drop files to the phone and back etc.

its best if u hav a nokia 6600 pc suite for your bluetooth.. mine works very well.. to connect the dongle to ur pc.. u need to b patient.. to some it wont connect right away.. wait for like 3 mins and try to refresh the connections ..try to check and uncheck the bluetooth connections in ur mroute.. if u cant see ur blututh connectionthere .. theres a problem when u installed ur driver for the dongle.. i got this prob b4... but now it works just fine..
it still wont connect.its nokia 6600 pc suit.i even tried reinstalling the dongle drivers but nuthin works its becomin stressful.

I would say however I never had any success with PC Suite until I did a factory reset on my PC. No problems since. Drastic but wow my PC is fast as fcuk now.

The reason I came to this forum was to solve the BT -> PC Suite problem.
I followed joolsvern's guide on another thread (which I'll regurgitate here) with one difference (step 4):
1. Installed Bluetooth software (do not plug USB adaptor in when prompted)
2. Reboot PC
3. Once restarted, plug in USB adaptor & follow instructions
4. Install PC Suite [NOT THE DISC VERSION] from www.nokia.com
5. Reboot to complete install
6. Enable Bluetooth on phone
7. Initiate pairing on PC (password setup, set as authorised etc)
8. Open PC suite and tick boxes on Bluetooth COM ports (usually COM 6 or 7 for me)
Worked for me, thanks Joolsvern for the 'step by step' in the other thread, it's save me days 😃
