Just got my 6600, beginner questions..

I've just got my 6600 tonight, first impressions are very good. I'm more than pleased with the phone, its so smart and more than I expected.

My question:

How can I copy ALL contacts from my sim card to the phone?

I have a full sim card of numbers and I can only see an option to copy them one by one, which involves scrolling down a whole screen of options for each one, surely not?

Secondly, is there some sort of standby mode? The reason I ask is that having been booted up for a few hours, full battery. I was sat at the computer and at a glance I saw the 'Nokia' logo at the bottom of the screen with white background. I pushed the joystick in to see if it was a screensaver and so to return to main screen and the phone powered off a few seconds later. to get back to it I had to power back on, very strange.

go in contacts on the phone and it will ask u to move all ur sim contacts to the phone press yes and it will do it automatically.
ur next problem is probably a firmware bug. wht FW do u have. press *#0000# and tell us.

Thanks Jesal.. I had ignored the mark/unmark option but selected 'Mark All' and then copy to contacts. excellent.

---> I am using V 3.42.1 / 16-10-03 / NHL-10

The problem i described happened a second time. It was the first time I had ever opened a webpage, i scrolled down www.o2.co.uk and the screen broke up into small white dots, went completely white and the nokia logo appeared.. when I pressed a key it took me back to my desktop. Can someone tell me if this is how Symbian/6600 handles aan application crash?? as ive not used one before.

Otherwise I am more than impressed with this phone, I have made the move from an 8310. I'm just a little worried about the joystick over time, and also how fragile the phone is.

its a bug im guessin. my phone acts weird at times as well. as for the joystick i had a 7650 b4 and 6600 is way better joystick than 7650. i play a lot of ngage games via the joystick. its pretty well built and sturdy so enjoy the phone while u have it cuz nokia will come out with something else, ull want that too and never have the time to enjoy what u have now. so chill out
