ive got a 6600 on vodafone uk but mms is giving me trouble, i can send ok but when a friend sends a message from orange the gprs symbol comes up and it starts to receive then just cuts of and i dont get the message and other times it will recieve the message if sent from another friend on vodafone but the gprs stays active until i turn the phone off then as soon as i turn it back on i get the same message again
any ideas ???
Hmmm......
It sounds like the problem I had with my phone. I phoned Vodafone and they changed it for me.
ok well im off to go change the phone for another to see if that helps
thx for your reply yakkob
arrrgghhh... took it back to the shop they tested the mms...
vodafone - vodafone - worked
orange - vodafone - fail
O2 - vodafone - fail
so they got a new 6600 and that had exactly the same problems!
tech guys say they are almost 100% sure its a network problem.
is there anyone here with a 6600 on vodafone uk that has it working or is there a network issue??
if anyone has it working can you plz post your settings so i can see if they differ from mine
thx alot
My sister recently aquired a 7250i on Orange and we have successfully swapped MMS (well, the sound clip i sent didn't work on her phone - wrong format, i believe)
She sent me 1 and I replied with success.

All i know is that MMS'ing is intermittent cross network at worst.
Hope this helps.
Rob.
thx for that Rob.
just stuck those settings in and again i get the same probs voda - voda is fine cross network it seems its not even making it to the phone.
As i say they tried with another phone in the shop and got the same probs so they are 99% sure its voda`s network at fault which so they say is so old.
time to contact voda and see what they come up with
thx again
