im having a spot of bother sending and recieving picture messages , the phone says its sent and it goes into the sent mail folder but only about 30% of my mms get through to the other end .even tried sending them to myself but its hit and miss if i get them .all were sent with a strong signal .the other people were on vodafone .some people have tried sending me stuff and ive not got it ,one person was on o2.havnt been able to send to another tmobile as i dont know anyone with mms on them.
just wondered if this is a network problem .

Me and the Mrs are on T-Mobile and have noticed this too, it started happening at Christmas with MMS's not arriving, even within their own network!
Also I notice they stopped us sending to multile addresses too, so to send to 5 people we now have to send 5 separate MMS's rather than just sending to the 5 people in a single message 😞
I bet we still get charged for sending MMS's even thou they are not turning up!

phoned up t mobile and they said they dont know of any probs and then put me on hold and came back and told me to go to MESSAGING OPTIONS SETTINGS TEXT MESSAGE MESSAGE SENT AS (told me to change it to email then go back to the messaging folder and then go back into settings and change to text again .they finished off by saying that it should be all sorted now .

Send messages before and after the changes and NONE arrived.
Defo a T-Mobile problem me thinks..
Phoned them up on Friday to complain.
Gave me the normal rubbish saying there is no reported fault on the service currently.
Said I should wait 24hours for delivery of message before complaining, so I gave them a short history of messages not arriving and to what numbers going back to mid December.
'Oh.. errr... it must be your phone then' - then accused me saying I must have fiddled with the settings and screwed it up..
Told me to take out the sim and download the MMS setting etc..
I did NOT do as he suggested as I know my phone is ok.
Low and behold on Monday morning a test MMS went throu sucessfully!!
So I sent 5 messages out to different phones and networks and they were all received and reply sent back were received by me.
I've not changed anything on my phone, funny that - it's all working after my call to T-Mobile 😊

glad you got it working ok again Will .what about sending and recieving video ? also have you ever been able to watch the free videos on the realnetworks site (i had it as a bookmark already in the phone when i got it ).i can connect but it times out and cant play .

Realvideo streaming don't work on UK networks - they block the UDP port that real uses.
Real have fixed this on their new version, the beta can be downloaded from their developer site, it now can stream, over http I assume, it can also play MP3's now 😊
MMS video sending is also working for me now too, just sent a 95kb .3gp file no problem 😊

just sent one to myself and it was ok . i just dont seem to have alot of faith in tmobile mms its just so hit and miss, whats the point of sending a picture or video not noing whether its going to get there or not (would delivery reports help and do tmobile charge for them ? ).

ps do you know of any sites to post and download video clips ,ive got a few but some are of an adult theme so me thinks best not to post on here .

sent 16 mms today between 6.30 and 10am and only 4 were recieved ,the rest are all pending .phoned tmobile and they said it could take up to 3 days for it to reach its destination,3 days might as well print the picture off and send it by snailmail it would get there quicker.but to be honest with the way its been lately i doubt they will ever get recieved.

They still in your outbox as pending? Or did the delivery recipt say pending?
If they are still in your outbox did you try rebooting and flag them to retry?
The guy at T-Mobile told me it could take 24hours - so delivery time has risen to 3 day now has it?
Or do they just tell you want the think will get you off the phone?? 😊

no they are in my sent box its the delivery report that says pending .it seems that if the message isnt recieved within a few mins it never gets there at all .i phoned tmobile twice and was told both times it can take 3 days .ive just sent them an email so well see what happens .i think that some of the staff you speak to dont really understand , like the first time when they had me messing about in my text settings , i did try to tell her but she just said that my phone would work ok now.i will let you know the contents of the email if i recieve a reply.
