Help w/ Bluetooth

I have a 3com USB Dongle w/c i bought about 2 years ago plugged into a Toshiba notebook running Win XP. I can pair my notebook with P900, and 3com's BT Connection Manager can see the phone. When I try to connect with SE's Link Properties, 3com's BT Connection Manager would show that it is connected whereas SE's software would not. After about 30 seconds, the connection gets cut off. If I try to connect again, it would give me the error "It is not possible to enable the port because it may be in use by another application.

I have searched many forums but could not find any solution. I have exhausted all efforts to no avail.

The P900 seems to have Bluetooth 'issues' - most people are having problems with headsets, but there may be a wider problem.

I have already turned off and uninstalled any hardware or software that might cause conflict like modems, etc. but problem persists.

I have no problems with my Jabra BT200 - it just works great.
