Hi there, I am trying to Sync my phone with outlook but keep hitting a brick wall.
I have Outlook 2000 and win2k, every time I sync I get 'cannot open outlook' error. How do I change the parameters of where its looking?
Is it to do with my exchange server?
Any ideas? Thanks Guys.
Yes, I have the same problem. how is it fixed?
I'm sing Nokia 7650 with the PC Suite and Outlook 2000 in Windows 2000. I didn't have to specify any folder, instead synchronization started automatically with Outlook.
I'm using Outlook with our company's Exchange server, so I don't think the problem is caused by Exchange.
Do you have PC Suite working otherwise so that you can send and receive images, create and restore backups and so on?
Do you have Outlook set as the default program for calendar and contacts? I have this setting in Control Panel -> Internet options and there the tab "Programs".
Unfortunately I don't have any better advice with this.

sorry for delay!!
yes, all else in the suite works fine, as does Outlook - its fine. I have done lots of things, and yes, Outlook is default client, but no joy.
Has anyone else had this???
tdw2002 what is the fix for this who helped is it in the faq?
I just had to reset all my sync's (as a result of setting up my internal network differently I had to frig around wiht Outlook). Anyway, the loing and short of it was that suddenly I could no longer synchronise properly ... but in the end I cracked it.
With Outlook - make sure that you have no extraneous Personal Folders open when setting it up ... seems the app is not too clever about choosing the right folders. So make sure you only have the PErsonal Folders that contain your default inbox/calendar etc. At least while going through the set up ... I am sure you can add them back later.
On the PC Suite Application you need to Open the Configure Tasks, select properties on the individual synchronisation tasks and then select the Outlook 2000 menu and then the use the elipses (3 dots) button to choose the right folder.
It should work OK then
