The 2nd online upgrade for the P900 is now available from Sony Ericsson. They haven't published the Release notes yet, but one very welcomed bug-fix seems to be the one causing the phone to reboot during the installation of some larger applications.
[NOTE: Some of you who have a P900 that is locked to a network may not be able to use the online upgrade service at this point]
I have CDA 162003/3 and I get R2B02, I think the web site is not yet updated 😞
The higher number revision is only relevant to certain models.
Mine is a stock, vanilla, unlocked, not-branded-by-any-network model with CDA 162003/5 (production CDA, I believe) and the online update still says latest organiser is R2B02.
Maybe they have not updated their web site yet 😡
Hmm, yes that may be, seeing as the Release notes for the upgrade isn't published yet either... Anyway, my CDA is 162003/1 and the upgrade from Organiser version R2B02 to R3A06 went smoothly. It also shows R3A06 as the latest version when I enter my CDA manually.

From the link in the first post. I guess the upgrade service just isn't updated for your CDA version yet...
Yes, if I put CDA 162003/1 I get the new version, if I put my CDA version 162003/3 I get R2B02, what happen if I install it anyway ?
You can't fool the upgrade program by entering the wrong CDA version I'm afraid, it will automatically detect your correct CDA version anyway. I guess you just have to be a little patient, and check back later...
I have CDA162003/8 and was told R2B02 was the latest which I already had of course, but, for testing sake since a lot were told this yet after the upgrade they got the latest.
No update, after the upgrade still got the same thing. Its either I have no luck, or it really isnt there yet for this CDA.
Great news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just checked for updates again on SE site, the latest firmware org. R3A06 is now available for all CDAs from 162003/2 to 162003/8!!!!!!! Yaaaaaaaahhhhhhooooooooo!!!!! Dunno about after 162003/8 though.

So can anyone see any changes in the latest firmware release? Ive updated a few days ago and havent noticed any GUI changes or anything...but im sure it appears to be running a little quicker..after 6 days of straight use..
Updated mine today...
Only took 40 mins on a 150k connection.
However i cant see any changes yet.
Anyone please help me to answer the following:
1. What is the purpose of upgrading the software?
2. How do I unlock the Operator Network so that I can upgrade?
3. After Master Reset, why can't I restore the original software from the Application CD supplied?
4. How do I check my IMEI from the P900?
5. How do I check the production months or year?
6.Why can't I upgrade my P900?

Problem:- The load up stop at the power menu for you to select flightmode, phone on..once u select phone on it will restart again.
1) how can i check which country this phone is from because i bought it 1 years back from ebay.
2) IME : 351965.. the first 2 is the country code but "35" is which country??
3) how can i go to the service menu from the power menu??
4) any hot key to reset the phone?

35 is not the country code AFAIK. Or it must be Dutch, because mine starts with 35... too.
There is no hotkey for resetting. You have to go the control panel, where you can format your phone. But since you can't, it's going to be hard.
The best thing to do would be to go too your nearby Sony Ericsson Service Center and get your phone reflashed (or maybe try flashing yourself if that still works)
