Alternatives to Agile Messenger?

i am using TipicME because AgileM don't work here...

You can find TipicME at www.tipic.com it's a freeware..

Download the PC version and the Phone Version..

On the PC version after you register your account on the web, you can setup the MSN transponder on options to connect to your MSN, yahoo etc.. accounts...

Then when you connect with the phone version to the Tipic.com account you will see all your contacts and you can chat there ... it's a cool app and small one... only 100kb installed.. not 300 kb like AgileM...

Thanks for the Tipic suggestion. As you recommended, I downloaded the desktop version initially - but for the past 2 hours I haven't been able to connect. Not very encouraging. Is this a server-side issue?

Don't know what are you doing to not get connected...

It's so easy...

First of all remeber that you need to create an Tipic.com account.. then...

Go to the PC version TOOLS/ SETTINGS / the final options at left.. TRANSPORTS .. and assign the account data of the service you want to use (MSN, Yahoo, etc..)

After that you get connected thrue tipic server to that services too...

then exit from the PC version..

and get connected with the phone version.. to the tipic account...

And ready... always you enter there you will see your other services active too...

with Joystick left you popup the menu... with keypad "0" you active the icon on the menu...

hope you can use it...

if you don't get connected is some kind of problem with your GPRS server.. .

Nothing wrong with my GPRS connection. I can't connect on my *PC!* The TipicIM just says "disconnected from server."

i have downloaded the tipicME .. pc version! i have connected successfully but i cant add any contact?!? can u help me?? heres what i did?!
i go to actions then add contact.. then i try to configure the transport.. (yahoo) .. so i entered my address and password and nickname when i click finish.. theres a word "disconnected" under Yahoo! , then i try msn... i did the same thing! for some reason... theres the word "active" uncer msn.... w/c i assume that it is connected...

another thing.. with msn... my friends appears online..so i dont really have to add them to appear in my tipicme in my nokia 6600? can u plzz help me on how to connect to yahoo!? i really need it! most of my friends are in yahoo. so i really would like to have it connect to yahoo?!?

No you don't need to add contacts on your phone...

And you must use only the [email][email protected][/email] account on your phone the account that you created on www.tipic.com site... that login and password goes on the phone app ... that will conect you to the tipic server... and if you already added the transponder on your PC Tipic app everything will appears ok on your phone..
and remember that you don't have to be connected on your PC Tipic App at the same time you try to enter on your phone...

thanks! but my problem is! i cant get yahoo to connect.... i tried to configure the transport for yahoo but when i click finish.... theres a word "disconnected" under YAhoo! but i was able to connect to msn... when i tried to open tipicme in my cellphone! i can see my friends online on msn! but most of my friends is in yahoo! so i really need to get it connect.... any help???

now that agilemessenger is no longer freeware, what is a good alternative (freeware) for it?
