Bought a P900 finally...

10 replies · 2,653 views · Started 18 January 2004

I got a P900, despite the fact that I still have a P800.... (that noone showed any interest in wanting to buy off me...)
anywayz... i just got it and i feel really bad saying this, but the WOW factor is all but gone.... (for me anyway) - the dam thing is almost xactly the same as the p800... im not saying that i regret it, or maybe i am, its just that i think i kinda xpected more of a buzz...

pls make me feel betta about my decision... if thats at all possible...!!!

My P800 was sim-free...
my p900 was upgrade.... oh my god - the annoying vodaphone starup and shut down.... that kinda killed my xcitement a bit more....

writing this post is also kinda depressing - as far as being a mobile phone lover, and gadget man who is in possession of the "coolest" gadget in the world - says my friend...

laterz....

Well, offcourse the WOW factor is gone, it is basically the same phone, just some minor upgrades. If you would have read around a bit, you could have known.

The only thing I REALLY said WOW to, was the beautiful screen. Since you still own your P800 you can easily compare the two screens. Use the same picture for good comparison...

After owning the P900 for 1,5 month I did the same thing yesterday and I was REALLY happy I had the P900 and my mum the P800😃

P.S. The video-recording with sound is nice too!

i've just purchased my P900 like 3 weeks ago too, but I'm still learning how to use it properly.

I dont' think i'm fully utilizing it to its full capabilities yet....

but so far... it's still an awesome phone! 😊

P900 is much better than p800, the screen for starters is in a different league, it feels so much smaller, neater and lighter,
watch movies on my Duo's in full screen no dropped frames.

managed to sell my p800 for 200!!!! so happy bunny I AM 😃

I still have my P800 in prestine condition and have no plans on selling it. I've been with my P900 for about 3 months now and I still can't say enough about it.

guys i got questions maybe u guys can help me out...
i planning to buy a new p900...

I was reading the manual and features of the broucher and cam up with an idea that the p900 is somewhat like a smart phone...

Questions:
what's the OS of The p900? (Symbian/Microsoft?)
Does the Programs/Games available on the p800 will work on the p900?
Version of the os?
Latest firmware of the p900?
i have a p800 right now and planing to upgrade to a p900 is it worth your money?

DOH somewhat like a smart phone?? it is the THE smartphone!!

jeez dude sorry to be rude, but you are being a bit thick.
Everyone knows that the p900 is basically an upgrade of the p800, why not try reading about it on the million sites available including Sony Ericcson which tell you all about it.

Is it worth upgrading, well no phone is WORTH the money but if you want the best and the latest then its up to you

All your questions have been answered in this/and the P800 part of the forum. With minimal effort from your side, you would know the answers within minutes.

In my opinion, yes, the P900 is worth the upgrade.

Btw, the name of this site; "All About Symbian" should give you a hint as to what OS the P900 is running. 😉

I agree the '900 is basically an upgrade on the P800 -- essentially the same chassis, but with some very significant improvements -- not least the better looking and slightly smaller and lighter shell, the better screen, and a useable keypad on the flip.

If it were a car, then the '800 would be the 1300GL, whilst the '900 the 2.0 16v GSX version, with alloy wheels on 😃

IMHO the tweaks to the OS are nothing special, apart from the odd better gadget, and certainly the camera is easier to use now.

If I were you, I would keep the '800 for a while; I kept mine basically because if my '900 fails for any reason, at least I can revert data to the '800 while SE fix my phone.
