256MB (from ebuyer) or 512MB which works on N-GAGE

9 replies · 3,161 views · Started 18 January 2004

I have read in other forums that a 256MB Kingmax MMC really does work well with the n-gage. Sorry I have not tried it yet, what im giving you is second-hand information.

I think it's from url removed I might be wrong but that's the forum I remember reading from time to time as well.

That website promotes warez,we don't like warez here

I can confirm that the 256 Kingmax from Ebuyer works (Have tested mp3's, movies, .sis etc, formats fine). Although I have had some problems but not sure if they are mmc related.

I couldnt get spaceimpact.sis to install it just got half way and then gave me and install error, and have had the same problem with certain other blz related files and other .sis files. I'm not sure if this is down to the mmc or not, my phone is currently being replaced as I had a red line down the screen from new so maybe it was related to that? Hope that helped.

Going at that site is at the user's own discretion and I dont think it is right to say that the website supports warez coz it is also against their forum rules. And as far as I am concerned, they are also removing posts with attachments or links to reverse-engineered applications.

The website I have given is also a nice reservoir of useful infos regarding symbian, I dont want to argue about this anymore, I just want to express that the above statement is quite biased.

Ceanth, you can try and ask GhostDog if you still want the link. Anyways, a member has already rectified my claim.

DireStrife21,I used to regularly visit the website you posted more then a year ago, probably two. They used to deal with reverse engineering and it was very informative and useful. Now,its really changed, most of the veterans are no longer there and most of the current veterans are ignorant kiddies who don't know the difference between an OS and an UI and all they talk about is warez.Yes,they do remove warez attachments, but they don't remove warez from links and signatures.

Before you continue with accusations, check your facts,do you see me remove links from legit websites like my-symbian.com or nokia3650.net ?

So it's been a long time since you've been to that forum. How about visiting it again and see for yourself?

I am in no intentions of making accusations GhostDog, but sometimes choice of words can either make or break. Your statement "That WEBSITE supports warez" is already an accusation on your part - clearly directed to the company itself (which sometimes could have libelous legal consequences). It is better to say "people use and post links to cracked apps in that website and we do not want our members to patronize them". Im sure you get the difference.

However, and as what I have said, the moderators of the forum are doing their job, just like what you do. They dont allow cracked apps to be widely distributed thru the website. So I give them a "not guilty" judgment on your charge. 😎

No,its not been a while.Maybe a couple of Months, when AAS had some sort of an action for shuting down warez websites the website you posted was the largest source of information on the subject and it still is,its a genuine warez community. Why don't you check what is the first post in the Symbian Apps Review forum.

I won't take anything back, maybe they don't host it,but they do support warez. If you have anything more to say,and its not on the subject ceanth started, please PM me,we already strained this discussion enough.

just to let you guys know i decided to go for the 256 but ebuyer are out of stock 😞 7 day waiting list, i will drop a reply when i get it to confirm if it works or not, thanks for all the input (apart from the side tracking 😛 )
